Last weekend I celebrated mother's day, a friend's birthday, the fact that my favorite girl on the planet was here for the weekend AND my six year anniversary with my boyfriend. To be fair, we didn't really celebrate our anniversary (what's the point anyway?) but still - what a festive weekend! For this occasion I decided to be just a liiiiittle more bold in my choice of colors. You may have noticed I usually stay with black, nude and earthy tones, but this time I decided to wear a mix of orange and yellow and - gasp! - I even mixed different patterns.
The Missoni-inspired top I'm wearing is from Zara. I especially like the fringes and going through the final pictures made me realize that it goes really well with my eye shadow. The small victories in life. If you want to know what I used to create this look: Foxy, Chopper, Snakebite and Busted from the Naked 2 palette. I have watched an insane amount of beauty-related Youtube tutorials since my adolescence, but, to be honest, mostly for entertainment purposes. I'm certainly no make-up guru. Whenever I try to recreate looks from Youtube, I wonder what kind of witchcraft these girls are using haha... Like, how are they so perfect? How do they apply eyeliner so ridiculously well? What is it they're not telling us? It may be just patience and practice. Or a pact with the devil, who knows.
My cross-body bag is from Zara as well, my purely-for-style-on-a-cloudy-day sunglasses are Gucci. I have lots of cheap sunglasses, but I think at least one really nice, more expensive pair is a rational investment. That's what I'm telling myself, anyway. I'm also wearing my beloved non-leather Veja shoes - if you want to learn more about them and why I love them so much, click here.
I hope you had an amazing weekend as well. Scroll on to see the entire outfit. ♡
Thanks for reading & happy Tuesday!
