Hi my loves! Depending on where you live, you may have had the same "spring" experience as me so far: Miserably dark and cloudy days, big fat raindrops and the occasional snowflake. Yes, you heard that right, it snowed in April here in Vienna. To make things worse, the weather forecast continues to look like a rollercoaster and is a harsh reminder of how much my mood is tied to something as trivial as the weather. I'm sure I'm not alone in this. Being woken up by warm sunlight shining through my window is a 90% guarantee that the day is going to be great. On the other hand, rain can really ruin your energy levels and make you want to stay in all day.
So what did I do to lighten up my mood in this gloomy weather? Simple, I bought shoes. There's probably nothing I could have said that is more cliché than that, but it's actually not as typical for me as you may think. I mostly wear the same three to four pairs of shoes that are appropriate for work and uni, but I've been wanting to change up my style to be just a little more daring. And these lilac high heels were precisely what I have been looking for. If spring had a color, for me, it would be lilac. Think flowers, berries, sunsets. That's spring for me. And I refuse to miss out on this year's spring feelings, so I decided to at least wear my personal epitome of this splendid season: lilac.
Ironically, the day I went to shoot these photos the sun came out. Oh well, tant mieux ! The heels are from New Look and their thick heel makes them pretty comfortable to walk in. What I love most is how delicate and elegant the ankle strap makes them look. Scroll on to see how I styled them.
Remember the saying "Dress for the job you want, not for the job you have"? I am here to tell you, my friend, that the same applies to weather conditions. You are welcome ♡ Thanks for reading & until next time! xxx
